Ray guns have been turning up in odd forgotten places for some years now, long unopened drawers, attics, cellars, backs of garages and sheds, suddenly on table tops, and in car glove compartments.

They are often well worn in appearance, having obviously undergone numerous repairs, upgrades and retrofittings. Almost as though the technology to manufacture these artifacts has been lost to their owners, and they are trying anything to keep them working.

One can only imagine the terrible conflict using these weapons, which has punched holes into our reality, through which the Rayguns are leaking.
